TransFlash and Bluetooth Question

Impynave

I just picked up by 710 today as it literally came off the delivery truck. so far I love it. My question is with the transflash and bluetooth. are all transflash memory cards the same? Motorola has a 128MB on their website for 69.00 and I found one on the internet for 36.00. the only thing is that there isn't a picture on the website of the cheaper one, should I trust it? Also, I found a BT USB adapter for my laptop on the same website. Does anyone know if these will be compatible with the phone? I really want to use the MP3 player, one of the biggest reasons I got the phone.

Does anyone know of another way to transfer MP3's without the BT adapter? Would a regular SD reader/writer work to put them on the memory card so I can play them on the phone?

what i've heard is that bt doesn't allow you to transfer files. i also heard that the usb cable doesn't allow you to do it either. also i have heard that the phone cant read files placed on the transflash card, you can only retrieve them off of the card. bad news huh?

if that's all right, definately bad news ☹️. If it's true then how come theyt advertise that you can play mp3's on the phone? It there a [free] way to download them from the internet?

who knows...but what i think i know is that the cheapest price available right now for the transflash card is through amazon.com. thats where i'm gonna order it from. it's not available yet but its only 33 bucks and it says that it includes the sd adapter.

Check pricegrabber.com for the absolute cheapest price on computer peripherals, INCLUDING transflash memory cards for the v710 which are much cheaper then that offered by Amazon.

I have a feeling that the new mobile phone tools will allow the transfer of pictures and mp3s to and from the phone. Just another way for vzw to make cash..

I work for RadioShack and I got it there, far as I know we're the only place to get it. I just got my 8900 6 months ago so I had to pay full price for it, 519.00. Well worth it if you ask me. My only fear is that it doesn't have the battery issues that other Motorolas have. Of course, you could always get the Service Plan through radioshack that gives you free batteries "as you need them"!!

I just meant to take a simple picture of the phone like next to a receipt. If you actually got it, I'll be calling quite a few RS stores around here to see if they have any in. But i don't want to waste my or their time.

You would have to just post a link to it (hosting it somewhere else). I'm sure everyone else would like to see it too.
