This article in no way says "no time soon." It contains a quote from an indirect retailer who states that he hasn't received any information yet, so he doesn't think it will be available soon. Basically the article confirms what we already know: NOBODY KNOWS A RELEASE DATE. IMO articles such as this will motivate an earlier release than a later one.

The Customer Service Representative at Verizon Wireless told me yesterday that the phone failed testing again. Thats why motorola says that verizon is not ready.

I've spoken with some people who are testing the phone and they say Verizon has sent it back to Moto to have a few more software problems resolved. They should receive it back for another 2 weeks of testing on August 1 or thereabouts. That's not concrete info, but that's what I was told from some guys "in the know".
