Here's how bluetooth can contribute to getting more spam... assuming of course that the bluetooth implementation isn't restricted the way that Verizon will likely deliver the v710.

That's people who WANT to be "discovered". If your Bluetooth enabled device is not in "discoverable" mode then people will not be able to "find" you. Plus, they have to be within 33 feet anyway. Not a problem in 99.999999999% of the USA.

This "toothing" is also called "Bluejacking" by a different faction in Britain, although the articles I found on Bluejacking last week did not paint the picture of it as being sexual.

That's what I thought... How am I going to get spam if I'm not set in the discoverable mode? And why would I be in that Mode if NOT trying to set up a device?

"Toothing" and "bluejacking" are two different concepts.

"Toothing" is stupid. People search for bluetooth devices that are on and discoverable and try to initiate a chat in order to have sex.

"Bluejacking" is a way to basic...
