I work in the wireless department at Circuit City and today, recived a new planogram(tells us where to put merchandise) for the cell phones. The V710 is listed on there as one of our new phones. In my experience with planograms, when there is new merchandise listed, it takes anywhere from a day to about three weeks before we see it in the store. Just another sign.

I know the merch manager I was speaking with was doing some changes this week for the month. The plan-o-gram changes you saw may be the upcoming one which would be in a few weeks (hopefully not). however, don't hold me to that all I know is about the video game section and each department could be different. you would know better than me..

I guess one thing to think about is, does Verizon Wireless usually get their new phones before CC and Radio Shack, etc? or do they get them at the same time? that may help tell how far away VW is from actually ...

Last week the dude in the cellphone department of my local Circuit City (Binghamton NY area) told me that Verizon Wireless here typically gets new phones a few days before they come into his store. That's likely the norm for most regions.

I work at Radio Shack, and we pretty much always get our phones a week or two after verizon gets them. Also, for what it's worth, my verizon rep told me the pho...

Thats the thing. Verizon always get their phones before cc and radio shack. According to our planogram, we should be recieving them in the next three weeks. If that's the fact, then Verizon should be seeing them before then.

...and another thing, today at Circuit City, we just recieved a shipment of bluetooth accessories (headsets, speaker). Seeing is how we don't sell any bluetooth phones, it's more evidence the V710 is coming soon.

I think the planograms come from CC corporate. However, usually if stuff is positioned on an endcap, window or wall it is paid for by whatever companies product is featured. But that isn't always the case. someone else can chime in also and correct me if I am wrong in regards to CC..
