Heard today on AM radio in Chicago. LG phones bought from Verizon between 01 to 03 are defective. The batteries can get really hot and actually start on fire. No joke. I am not trying to spread any rumors. Take it as you will. Just thought I should inform everyone.

I posted about this earlier this afternoon. There's a link to a cnn.com article on this in the post at

It's pretty funny, I was actually one of the people who was burnt from the battery (on the 510). I was driving with the phone in my hand, and it felt like someone was quickly burnt my hand with a cigarette...nothing too bad. It didn't catch on fire or anything, it just looked like a cherry from a butt was burning a hole in the battery. Pretty random. I traded that in for my wonderful T720, and now I can't wait for the v710.
