just checked the motorola bids on ebay and i wonder how people could be willing to pay 800 dollars for a phone they have no review for, probably is full of bugs(since it is unreleased) and sth they have never seen or tried out themselves. when the phone is officially released in less than two weeks it would definately cost less than half that price.
whats so special about this phone anyway? plays MP3? get a PDA or an ipod. takes 1MP pictures? get a 40 dollar digicam. or is it the bluetooth or wat???????????????????

crazy stuff

The phone isn't officially released in 2 weeks. People think it will be but there hasn't been any concrete information on the release date. Motorola website says nothing about release dates and even if it did, that means nothing. They post dates all the time which never come true. The phone is officially released when its offered for sale online or in a Verizon Wireless store. You guys should know this already before making statements like that.

I'm sorry but you need not to take our "predictions" so seriously. I have personally emailed Motorola and they said the 21st of May... NOW that is what they said I understand that, that doesn't mean that Verizon will have it in stock by then, HOWEVER that is what Motorola said to Me! No middle man... So don't try and regulate the forums you don't manage them... how bout you email verizon and make some calls to Motorola, before you claim other people are wrong...

The point I was trying to make was that whatever Verizon or MOTOROLA tells you dealing with the phone doesn't mean ****. No matter if a customer service rep or the VP tells you information. The phone is released when you see it in the store. They make and change dates all the time. That was the point I was trying to make.

I like to hear what people have to say about features and about other phones. I'm interested in hearing opinions. Why do you care anyways? We are all entitled to our opinions even though mine are always right.

The reason why he visits these forums ritually is because he has nothing to do. Aside from working at the drive-thru at Mcdonalds, he probably doesnt leave his house very often. Unless of course his mom asks him to get a gallon of milk at the store. 🙄

I don't need to make calls to Verizon nor Motorola since it won't make a difference. If I went with what Verizon or Motorola told me (personally), I would have this phone and the V810 in my possesion right now and wouldn't be replying to you. I'm just trying to get you to understand how this works. You keep getting dates until its released. The only time you can "jump up in down in happiness" is when you see an actual date (Not Q3 or Q4) listed on the website or you see it advertised with an actual day. Then usually at that point its a pretty good chance of coming out then. **** If I went with release dates, I'd have HALO 2 (XbOX game) also. They actually advertised 3 seperate dates and that game still hasn't been released just pushed back.

Just checked eBay- that is ridiculous! I've played with the phone- and it is GREAT but... What is this, Tickle Me Elmo or something! Like you say- in two weeks it'll be out. Where are these coming from? Verizon may not even let this be activated until officially launched- they block ESNs from unrecognized phones.

Verizon doesn't block ESNs on phones. In matter of fact Verizon knows the users who have the v710 have it and they really cannot do anything about it. The people I know are using the phone and loving it. Verizon doesn't ever have an "official" launch on anything, they are always released according to region and usually whatever region can post it on the website, when it goes down late at night, first. These models that are selling are the very first models actually, that have been either sold or given to employees.

Simply because you may or may not be able to afford something at a certain price doesn't mean others can't. To some people $800+ or even the $1200 2 v710's sold for on eBay were chump change compared to the people who bought them. They choose the spend that much because they can and they want the phone, there is nothing wrong with that. Nobody has a release date written in stone, in matter of fact, I got an email from Motorola today that said the phone would be released at the end of the 1st Quarter for Verizon. I really need to post that email because it used some horrible grammar and somebody ...
