Why do people make up these bogus release dates???? Does it make you feel important??? My opinion is that it cheapens the credibility of this forum. This phone will not be released in MAY.

How do you know the release date is wrong? You don't. You're purely speculating due to past negative outcomes.
I have communication from Motorola about the phone. I have communicated with them my desire for a release data and more info on the free bluetooth accessories, and I have received a response from them saying the phone will be released on May 21.
They may very well be wrong...but, at least it's not punk-ass jive coming from some jerky who just wants to shoot off their mouth. So, unless you want to back up your rebuttal with some hard data, just shut up and don't waste our time.

Just because we all got the email does not mean this phone is coming out anytime soon. Common sense people. They are letting you know it will be released and getting a BUZZ around. It still could take 2-3 months before its finally released. Verizon never releases phones early, expecially a highly anticipated phone. They don't want to release this and find out that its highly flawed and get bad press. My guess is late summer we will see this phone and I have my sources that agree also.

I doubt Motorola is encouraging its employees to universally give out the date of May 21st in order to create 'buzz' about the product. It does not serve them well to irritate the early adopters as these are the people that give that spend top dollar on their new products.

Its funny that the main peesimist about this phone is BMR12345. I don't understand your views guy. There is no information stating that the release date had been pushed back. You are saying that the emails are to help create a buzz, and yet you are probably correct but it is to create a buzz about a phone coming sooner rather than later. Take some marketing classes junior. The V710 with be out by the end of June, most likely the last week of May, first week of June. If you don't like the fact just keep your mouth closed for awhile and if it comes out later then and only then may you say I told you so.

I don't agree with Mr. BMR but I don't think anyone needs to trash him just because he believes the release date is sometime later than what Moto is telling everyone. Like its been said here before... its only a phone folks.
