Who the hell wants this brick on their belt. What happened to small compact phones?

I agree, I am guessing it is because this phone has sooooo many features and perhaps the need for a lot of internal and removable memory. This phone is really pushing the limits of being just too dang big. But, that being said, if it came out Today, I would be thinking long and hard about picking one up. Unless of course, it takes so long to come out that there is another phone out that is comparable and smaller.

Size really doesn't matter! At least in this case. With a Bluetooth headset you can leave the thing in you briefcase and dial or receive calls without touching the phone. What I don't get is this testing phase. There are a lot of crappy phones out there that apparently passed testing. Also Motorola would have already tested the phone before building thousands of them. You'd think that this testing could have been done in conjunction. I mean we've know Verizon was the carrier this phone was built for for months. I mean what other big CDMA carriers are there in this country anyway. Sprint isn't Motorola's biggest customer so that only leaves Verizon. Considering Motorola was SUPPOSED to release there camera phones before Christmas, you'd thing...

read my email put rumors to rest..6.08.2004...like i said...after wht MOTO has come out wth we are very selective in wht we(VZW i work for them) take from them...I tel how the testing phase goes...I have tesed phn (v200,moto720,lg6000,lg 4600,kyocera slider) we test it(about 30-75 diffnt people in compny) for about 3-6mths write a essy and fill out form on it ,...then if it passes it comes out the next quatr..this has happn on every phn i have test ...the 4600 is on it way out...and i havent even seen the v710 in testin on our side..havent see anyone wth it in my builing
