V710 and extended battery and charging cradle compatibility

Hello Group, My name is Brian Carotenuto, and I was wondering about the battery that will be used on the V710 when it is released. I currently use a Motorola T720 through Verizon Wireless and I have the extended battery and charging cradle for my T720. Will my extended battery and cradle work with the hookups on the V710? I would hate to have to go out and purchase everything all over again. I look forward to be hearing from somebody soon.

Thanks again!

Brian

Chances are that T7xx accessories will not work in a V series phone. Heck, I have a v60 and don't even expect the accessories to work on the new V710.

Yeah, I agree with JMW. Plus you gotta remember that creating new chargers, speaker adapters, camera adapters..etc.. is all producing more money for the companies. Look at the charger cable used for the v60, it also fits all of the at&t models, and I even used my car adapter to help charge a friensds Nextel Motorola 95cl. Too many different phones, not enough revenue coming in. The only advise I could give is save the original boxes for all accessories and after you buy the new fone ask to exchange for the proper accessories, (its worked for me but it also depends on the store and the mood of the manager that day.
😁 "Thank you for choosing Verizon Wireless Americas..yada yada yada..Please come again 😁

I may be mistaken but from the photos of the engineering samples of the V710, it looks like the "standard Vx" 3+14 pin motorola base socket. Can't speak for batteries, but that probably means that chargers + data cables could work.

Less revenue for accessory sellers, but I would guess that hurts aftermarket copiers more than OEMs anyway, and I'd bet the margins are on the phones to begin with. If it's true, I'd say Motorla did something right, allowing us "upgraders" to retain some of our investment in accessories.
