Can someone help me out with getting the transflash card to work i was given instructions on phonescoop.com by someone to get it to work but it didn't work i cant even do anything with it i tried to format it through Menu, Phone Info, Storage Devices, I highlighted Trans T-Flash and pressed the menu button and pressed select to format the card but it wont let me transfer MP3's or anything and i don't know if the instructions were wrong or if i need to download a MP3 media player program or what. Any help would be appreciated!

does it alow you to access the t-flash card through the media gallery (sellect type of media, hit menu, and select switch storage device). If it does it should be a easy as putting the tf card in your pc, loading pix, vids, MP3's, etc. Put the card in the phone and under media gallery sellect the ones you want on the phone and hit menu, move/copy (if you have to old software or seem edit).
Let me know how this works out, I will be more than willing to help further.

When u put the tf card in the phone it creates a "Motorola" folder. If u put ur Mp3s under the "Shared/Audio" foler, for some reason it may not show up in the media gallery. It's kinda confused me but if ya just put the Mp3s on the card without placing them in the Motorola folder, they show. I dunno if that's what u mean by u cant see ur Mp3 but I figured I'd try to help. If that's not what u mean, explain and I'll try to help. I've had quite a few issues with this phone I've had to work around.

I have a card reader on my laptop. I'm guessing u either have that or a data cable. When I put my tf card into my laptop it shows up as an extra hard drive. I know I can format mine that way. I'm not sure what u mean by "newer" and "older" mp3s. As far as wallpaper goes, if u can get it on ur tf card u dont need to save it to the phone to have it set as ur background.

I have a 7 slot built in card reader on my work computer that i use for my transflash card it works good. I wanna transfer wallpapers from my Motorola A840 to my V710 but not quite sure how to get it done without messing anything up. What i mean about older and newer MP3's is i had old ones on my computer that just work fine but the new ones on my computer wont work at all and i don't know why and the ones with Microsoft Media Player no chance at all of working on my phone.

Thats what I use. I don't see why u can't take pics and mp3s straight from the A840 to the V710 since both support the tf card. As far as Windows Media Player's .wma files, they arent compatible with the phone. I'd just go download em in mp3 format unless u wanna convert them.

I heard that other people are having a really heck of a time trying to make their transflash card compatible with their A840 with MP3's and such I'm really hoping i don't have that problem it always seems my A840 fries on me before i have a real chance to use the phone it has a REAL bad charging port problem.

I am also having problems w/the transflash card. I formated it in my v710 and then put it in my computer's card reader, but when I try to put .mp3's (or any other files) on it, I get an error message "Cannot Copy 'filename': The disk is write protected. Remove the write- protection or use another disk." I've looked extensivly for a way to remove the pretection, but with no luck. I even tried formating the disk w/my computer, but the same message, Remove write-protection... I can view files that I put on the disk with my phone trough my computer, but can't put any files on the disk using my computer. Any help or tips would be great, thanks.

I use an SD adapter for the tf card on my laptop and when I first tried to put files on the card, I accidentally had the "lock" on the adapter turned on and it came up with that message. If ur using the adapter, check that.

OMG, I feel like an idiot. I thought that little switch was used to lock the card in the adapter. It works perfectly now, thank you.
