vzwpix.com Not Working For MP3 To Ringtones????

Foo4Everlong

I have been out of the loop with regards to downloading stuff to my cell for a while as well as not checking this forum as much as I used to. Anyways, today I tried to download an mp3 via vzwpix.com but for some reason I kept receiving an "Invalid media type for upload☹️audio/mpeg)." Basically I changed the .mp3 to .mid as I should have and thought I did everything else right, but I can't seem to upload the file into my "inbox." Is there a problem with vzwpix.com or am I forgetting to do something? Thought I followed directions the right way, but I may have forgotten something along the way. I don't have any wired connections from my phone to my computer so this is basically my only way to do this. If someone could help me out it would be gr...

Yes, the problem is the V710. your better off going with an 8000. Better battery life, Much more built in memory, no crippled blue tooth or firmware updates that cripples the sd card slot. The 8000 has Vcast which is amazing. No ongoing law suit battle pending for the 8000. When LG releases software updates they don't recall them a day later. They improve the phones functionality not take away features like they have done with the v710 clunker. Should I keep going on? 🤣 🤣 🤣

Better battery life
Not that I have seen.
Much more built in memory
But you can't add more.
no crippled blue tooth
NO blue tooth.
or firmware updates that cripples the SD card slot
NO SD slot or any other memory slot for that matter.
The 8000 has Vcast which is amazing
We have the E815 to take care of that (you will probably haunt that forum when it comes out).
No ongoing law suit battle pending for the 8000
Because the 8000 has no new controversial technology for VZW to meddle with.
When LG releases software updates they don't recall them a day later
LG doesn't d...

There goes my hero
watch him as he goes
he's ordinary

The problem might be with using vzwpix.com
I had a friend with the same problem
told him to use yahoo e-mail and attach the ringer, but don't forget to put something in for the subject and in the message or it won't work.

now he can download such classics as
tiny dancer
hero
everlong
monkey wrench
big me
dead actors

guitar guy, the problem is not with the phone at all you dirt rocker. How about getting on a different forum on a phone you don't hate.

excuse me,
now back to the smurfs

Very nice. You've kept up on your FF stuff. Only one, "STACKED" Actors. "Dead" is silent in the title. But I totally got ya. Anyways, what do I send it to from yahoo! email? Like when I sent it to my phone from verizon, I had to send it to my cell number. Does it have to be .mid or can it stay as a mp3? What is the process if you don't mind the explaination. Thanks so much for your help. This is so wierd as it worked sometime back in December.

By the way, I actually really like my V710. Think the battery life is way beyond anything I've ever had in the past. The reception is bad-ass. I'm not much of a bluetooth guy, but it still makes sense that if you're gonna make it available it better work. But nonetheless, I still really enjoy my V71...

Heres a couple of steps that have worked for me

--I get songs from win mx--or something, not sure of the name, but it's good for getting just about any song you want for free. They have a good version of Foo Fighters singing Elton John's Tiny Dancer on the Craig Kilburn show

-- I have downloaded something from goldwave.com to clip the songs into 30sec clips.

-- I save the file type as 22050 24 mono
this is very important

--I go into my music files in my computer and rename the ringtone to a .mid (everlong.mid)

--It will ask you if it's ok to rename it and tells you that it might not work, but just clik ok.--a problem I had is that after you click ok, you need to click somewhere off of the icon so it is not hilighted. I have...

That means that your phone has a small glitch in setting up your retrieval of pic messages. I had two phones that had this same exact problem. The first one I brought into the vzw store and had a tech play with it and fix it. The second time I was so pissed....I called 611 and did it over the phone with a tech. Mind you that it took me over 45 min on the phone with them. Call from your cell phone and then give them a land line # and they'll call you back on the landline.
You can send pics, and ringtones using the conversion mp3 to .mid. I did it on the v710, on the 9900, and on my current 8000.

Actually the problem doesn't lie on my phone, it's when I try to UPLOAD the file at vzwpix.com. For some reason I can't upload it into my "inbox." And then from there, send it to my phone. And yes, I read the same post you did about the Walmart thing. I'm positive my phone itself accepts these because I have done a couple in the past. The problem just stems at the verizon website itself. I don't know, I'll have to keep tryin'. Later

You shouldn't have to go to the vzw website

just send it from a yahoo or hotmail or something like that

just send it to your number@vxwpix.com

don't upload the file at vzwpix.com

rock on
