New Software doesn't work

I've gone to three different Verizon stores and all of them have told me that my phone will not accept the new software. One store even went as far as telling me that the new software would fry my phone. The gentleman before had his phone updated and after could not sync his headset with it. Is anyone else having this problem? Am I the only one? What's going on?

The new software does remove the history of connected devices and all of the devices have to be re discovered by phone, the tech should have known this. If your phone wont flash and you have done nothing to damage the data port you have the right to have a phone with that software even if it means a replacement phone.

Cliff here is another example of all the problems with the 710. Would you want the phone to consume your life with trips back and forth to Verizon for a replacement and or firmware updates that cause more problems? Who needs the headaches.
