Why the complaints?

I won a Motorola V710 (actually a LG VX6100, but I opted to pay the difference and get the Motorola) and could not be happier. I have zero problems coping the files to the SD card and then transferring using a reader to my pc. I also have had zero problems getting mp3 files onto the card and then playing them on my cell. I have an aftermarket (CCM) bluetooth headset that works flawlessly. I use it daily. Why is everyone else stating these problems? I know two other people with this phone personally and both have zero problems doing the aforementioned things. Maybe it is user error?

BTW, mine is for Verizon.

The problem isn't the bluetooth working with your headset it's the problem with the bluetooth working with everything else. Personally I think those bluetooth headsets look so freaky and would be embarrassed to walk down the street with one of those things protruding out of the side of my head. Besides, if you use the V710 just to make and receive calls then you have a phone that does just that. What's the point to use the bluetooth for even a wireless headset when it drains so much of the already mediocre battery life. It was free so enjoy..

I didn't like the Motorola one anyway. That is why I tried this one by CCM. Costs less...less bulky, and I bought an extended battery for the V710, so I don't notice anything different.

So, what is the memory card issues?

I can't tell from your comments: Do you dislike all headsets or only BT ones?

I do a lot of driving and I am very happy not to have cords hanging down and wrapping around gearshifts.

I have not noticed any degradation of battery life when using BT--and I use it quite a bit. In fact, I'm very pleased with the battery life with or without BT.

There is nothing wrong with that if it works for you. I dislike those funny looking headsets and the idea of having to charge them. Funny, when I use my headset my cord never gets tangled around any gearshifts. I am very happy with it. And blue tooth definitely drains your battery more. Thats like using mobile web and saying you don't get any less talk time. Not true. All those wireless features drain a battery faster.

I didn't say there wasn't any reduction, I said it wasn't noticeable. That's a very different things.

Enjoy your corded life-style and I'll enjoy my WIRELESS one! 🙂

For the life of me I just can't seem why the 710 did not get good reviews on CNET and PCMAG. Now, the 8000 did and so did many other phones. For some it may work for most it doesn't Consider yourself blessed..... 🤣

I dont really know why you continually post these links to bad reviews to this phone. I spoke with you weeks ago I think and you said you werent trolling, you were interested in this phone then happen to come across this information and are no longer interested in the phone.

Thats fine, but why are you still at this message board weeks later posting the same links, trying to convince people that the v710 sucks?

We are all aware of the bad reviews it got, we all discussed them when the phone was first released.

We thank you for enlightening us with your information (weeks ago) but now its bordering on message board trolling.

Listen up grey. your a troll period. It's a free country and I can do what I want. I never said the 710 sucks your saying the 710 sucks. I don't have to convince anyone. I have posted helpful suggestions and if you bothered to read through the posts you will see that. I have been thanked by a few already. So I think you need to troll along and stop getting defensive. I have a right to post my opinion. So back off billy.

Gayboy? how mature, its Greyboy.

The only helpful posts youve made were those reviews (months back) and more recently, the ability to exchange your phone after returning it 3 times for a phone of equal value. Those are great to share with the community, and they are appreciated.

your negative opinions and constant bashings of the v710, are not. And for your information, for about the 5th time Ive told you personally, I love my v710. It has been great...so re-read some posts, and get your story straight for your next message board trolling expedition.

I dont have the time to argue with a kid that has nothing else to do but post countless rants on a messageboard. I come here to learn cool features / updates / options about the pho...

Oh, did I call you gay by mistake? I wonder why. I think you need to concentrate on your punctuation before trying to post any more mesaages. I think you need to take some English grammar courses. I have every right to post my comments and suggestions about any phone I want. I never gave the 710 negative reviews all of you forum goers did the job. I understand your frustrated because everything that has been posted about the phone is 100% correct. I know your in love with your phone and I would never get in between of you and the Mrs. I am glad I had the opportunity to help at least one person so they don't get stuck with a lemon.

Exactly, if anyone doesn't feel my suggestions are helpful then move on..... can't please everyone. I already noted in one of my posts if your happy with the V710 than don't bother to read on. But apparently a few select don't listen. Either that or they say they are happy with it and really they aren't

I for one am quite please too. It's a phone and ALL of the features that make it a PHONE work fine, including the bluetooth.

As far as I am concerned the people complaining about file transfer via bluetooth are complaining about superficial things.

It has GREAT reception, it has a GREAT speakerphone. Yeah, the earpiece on the phone needs to be centered over your ear but that took a whole 15 minutes of self training.

The bluetooth works GREAT with headsets, GREAT with the bluetooth speaker GREAT and using the phone as a wireless modem. I could not care less about bluetooth file transfers for wireless transfers of ringtones, wallpaper and other "pretty" things that have zero effct on the quality and performance of the PHONE.
