Does anyone have any screen shots for the Menu of this phone? Id like to see them. Thanks.I would also like to know if this phone is only for business type related matters or if it can be given to a teenage boy for his birthday?

This phone should be given as a gift only if you really dislike the recipient!

Don't necessarily listen to the trolls. There have been many cases where someone has gotten this phone, despite the negative comments, and been very happy. I was one.
That being said, this phone is probably not teenager proof. I would be concerned about the construction being durable enough to stand up to the abuse a teenager could give it.

This phone is sweet. ususally people who cannot have Nazi-like control over thier electronic devices will never be happy. For a teenager it may be much but give him/her a trans flash card (mem card for the phone) and he/she will be thrilled making his or her wallpapers and ringtones. I have encountered whatever problems people have posted in this forum but nothing is perfect. Every piece of electronic will have its nuances. Find me a happy user for whatever phone there is out there and I will show you ten angry ones. All in all its a good phone.

Wow you found me out. Exactly I am just so jealous but I really have to tell you the truth. I can walk into Verizon tomorrow and get myself a free V710 in exchange for my 8000 I had my choice of either one and I chose the 8000 and made the right choice. You, Mr. Meow are just upset because your stuck in a contract and can't get out of owning that horrible headache called the V710. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

I was very much interested in owning a V710 but after reading all the problems all you people are having with this phone I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. If you look at the reviews at PcMag and Cnet you can CLEARLY read that the 8000 got much better reviews than the V710. See for yourself. There are two types of phones

1) Phones with problems
2) Phones with problem after problem such that as the V710.

I don't get it 😎
I read the same reviews and came away with the feeling that these two phones appealed to two different group of people. It is hard to compare the ratings on a sports car and an SUV. In my way of thinking it just means that one should look for the phone that fits the individuals needs and pick the right phone for those needs in the first place.

Yes two different groups of people

1) people who can deal with a problem or two and get it resolved and

2) people who deal with never ending problems.

I just don't get it. When my phone was switched out for free, I was given a choice by the Verizon store supervisor which phone I wanted as a free replacement. The V710 or the 8000 or the 890 or the 8940 and the supervisor shot back at me and said well, it's your choice but remember, you are here trying to resolve an issue and do you really want a phone that is going to give you more problems than you already have? She was referring to the V710. And obviously she knew if I picked that phone I would have been back again and again and that is what they wanted to avoid in the first pla...

Guitar Guy, if you don't have the phone you can't say anything about it, come on bro, common sense. I sell the VX-8000, VX-7000, A890, 8940, and the V710. All of these phones have a list of flaws. None of these phones were rated greatly but I believe they all have their niches. The Camera on the A890 is great. The screens and ease of use on the LGs great. The Audiovox is more expandible than any other phone listed. The Motorola, has a great speakerphone, good connection for bluetooth headsets, expandable, great easy MP3 player, its more customizable, and it has an ok battery life. Not too much more you could ask for from a PHONE.

I don't need to say anything about it all you forum people said enough to make up my mind to stay away from the 710. I agree, all phones have their flaws but the 710 has the most flaws of them all and even the flash software update can't fix these problems. Besides if you look at PCMAG and CNET the 8000 got the best reviews of them all. Much better than that of the V710. I understand that your stuck with the phone in a contract and it must be upsetting I know I would be upset too if I as stuck with the 710 with all those problems. Yes, the 710 has a great speaker phone and the 8000 has just as good as a speaker phone if not better. The 8000 has a generous amount of memory as the 710 only has 10mb built in. What good is blue tooth or a memo...

Well, I own the Alltel v710 and I love it!! While I wish I had OBEX, the TFlash card is a good work around. I've been very happy with mine and I'm continuing to learn new things that I can do with it everyday. While, I have "heard/read" some pretty upsetting things about what it appears Verizon has done to their version of this phone, I can say that the Alltel version is without these problems. From what I've read US Celluar's version is very similar if not the same as Alltel's and doesn't have the problems that Verizon's does. However, despite the "crippling" of Verizon's version, many of it's customers have "found ways" to "fix" the things they have complained about.
For a teenager, I'd think all the bells and whistles (i.e. MP3 P...
