Can anyone tell me whether or not software upgrades to the phone fix this issue? I am interested in the phone but have read a few comments on this phone crashing.

Mine has never crashed either
Don't listen to most post's
some people who post about problems don't know the answer is staring them in the face.
and since they look at the phone like it's a manual on human cloning written in japenese.

Like, I can't use the mp3 player with the phone closed. WTF there are only 2 words on the screen cancel and HIDE
What do they think hide means?

bottom line is most people are lucky they can turn the phone on. then these people complain about the phone. đŸ¤Ŗ

You are all idiots for using a BAD phone. I returned mine to Verizon and called the business Verizon line and purchased a new Audiovox XV6600 with TRUE Bluetooth and PDA.

This is not available thru the consumer Verizon people. They don't know it exists!!!!!!

I've had my v710 for a month with a lot of use and my phone has been simply GREAT. My phone has never crashed but let me know what you mean by crashing. Do you mean locking up? If it is locking you probably are scrolling the menu, phonebook etc. too fast. Just go slower because this phone is like a computer and if you scroll too fast it can't catch up and it will lock. Most of these people leaving the bad reviews don't know how to use this phone and don't want to take the time to learn it. If you have the phone and have questions just call any Verizon dealer and ask for the tech bench. Also ask for one of the techs that have the v710 and he or she will be more than willing to help you out. These techs have been great with me because I'm tire...

i agree with most of your post, but the verizon stores i have been to... when you ask about a problem ,you end up spending about half an hour teaching them instead of them helping you.this site is very helpful, you just have to wade through the crap to find it. 😁

I agree with you that this site in the most part has been extremely helpfull but I live in a large city that have a number of Verizon dealers and I can honestly say that a few of these locations have top notch sales reps and techs that have been extremely helpfull. You're also right about some of the reps. We can really teach them but after a couple of questions to them I pretty much can tell if they have any knowledge at all. The first question I ask when I go in is direct me to a rep or a tech that has the v710. Thanks for your response on this. 🙂

Yeah, Locking up is what I have heard about. That doesn't sound all that bad. Thanks for the info. I've been eyeing the phone for a while and it looks like there are some really good deals out there on it right now.

Worse than that. I bought two of these phones--one for me and one for my wife. It's best if we have identical phones (a practice we've followed since we got cell phones more than 10 years ago.)

My wife is always complaining that she doesn't need to understand the phone she owns. One day she was traveling with our two young kids with her phone and thought the battery was dead. She took it to VZW and bought a cig charger. Still didn't work. Took the cig charger and phone back to a vzw store and the store personnel tried to turn it on. She didn't know how--not sure what she was thinking.

But with two phones, I've never had either "crash". And the problems I've read on this forum seem to be foreign to me. The big problems from my ...

Can somebody please clarify
What get-it-now app takes the place of the crippled bluetooth?
How can they possibly make money from get-it-now for file transfer?
Also what is the big deal with just transferring data with the TF card? It is MUCH faster than sendind it via bluetooth.

You can get one at almost any online electronics store for about 27-37$ depending on the store. I think amazon has them cheap 😉 and no, they do not come with the phone ☚ī¸ If you have a v710 a TF is a must ~ pictures, videos, songs, movies galore!

I got mine at Best Buy for $34.99. I also bought the Sandisk SD mini reader for $19.99 and you don't need the adapter with this particular card reader. Works great and I didn't have to pay a shipping charge with the online buying.

What's your point? It ticks me off, that doesn't mean I'm crazy, it means I'm ticked off. BTW, ticked off is slang for very upset, seems by your post you too are very upset. One might say, "ticked off".

I think you and I actually agree. I wanted the Bluetooth for many reasons--and VZW's attitude of forcing me to use get-it-now "ticks me off." More frustrating yet, is that get-it-now doesn't replace the functionality I've lost through Bluetooth. So it really ticks me off.

How do they make you use get it now when it doesn't replace bluetooth transfer?
I don't understand why people keep saying this.

Well I touted this phone real heavy before it came out then right after it finally did. My FIRST ONE lasted about 35 days. It locked in ROAM and would not make or receive calls unless I forced the phone into ANALOG MODE (and then just for one call, then had to force back to ANALOG MODE to make or recive another call). Took it back to VZW, they replaced it no problem (no complaints about VZW through all of this). SECOND phone lasted three days then the same thing happened. Yep, back to VZW for a THIRD phone. This one lasted 24 hours then did the same thing. VZW Tech & I called Motorola in Schamuburg (not India) and Moto wanted the phone shipped to them (after they sent me my FOURTH V710. This one also lasted 24 hours then did the same thing. ...
