Hi All,

Sorry if this topic has been beat to death already...

Has Verizon released an upgrade to the software for the V710 yet? If so, where and how do you get it?

I received an email from a VZW supervisor who said this was on the way about a month ago.

Thanks in advance.

It's on the way. All stores should have it by the end of the month.

It would require a visit to VZW store to load to phone?

Thanks.

I have flashed my phone, and it seems to work well. The camera is definitely improved, and the cell phone rings when my BT headset is connected.

Unlike the "official" version coming out, the ability to transfer files from the TF card to the phone is still there.

Look on HOFO and Wireless advisor... There are a few confirmed insiders (who have almost NEVER been wrong) who have seen and used it.

Because they either work for Verizon, Motorola, or an associated company. Nothing mysterious there...

AH!! So...i guess the question is just how long it will take for the general public to get it! Question is also, how would we even know when the update is available?

Check this site, as well as HOFO and WA (No offense to anyone on this forum, but I find the other two forums tend to have less flaming, and more overall accurate and helpful information).

I flashed the phone myself with the update from Superdave. It is based on the update that came out in Texas but he modified it so you can still use ringtones and bluetooth will work with mobilephone tools. I have not had any problems so far.

You can download all the necessary stuff at:
http://www.inetron.com/vzw/ »

You can get instructions how to do this at:
http://tl.acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103569 »

Make sure you have a FULL battery when you start to flash the phone because it takes a few minutes and if you flash it w/ a low battery & it runs out then you are up the sh*t creek. By the way, do this at your own risk too...
