So now that the V710 has lost its novelty, what's coming down the road for Verizon that incorporates Bluetooth technolgy? Will there be a version of the Razr 3 that Cingular got?

i haven't heard of any phones like the razr 3 coming out for verizon. I think that is a shame. motorola finally makes a great phone with all the goodies (speakerphone etc.) in a very nice package. All of verizons current phones v710 and vx-8000 are big, bulky, and ugly.
verizon should start trying to capture the high end phone market. cingular's merger with att might
give them better network coverage, which is why i have verizon. but cingular has better phones. 😉

The last time verizon put out a bluetooth phone the pulled it in under a year and did not come out with another for 3 years so who knows what the future holds.

CDMA phones have never been the graceful slim modern looking phones that gsm offers from any provider. I am not sure why this is make your own conclusions but i personally think the cdma market is smaller -- most of europe is gsm a lot of America is too and cdma is relegated mostly only to America. i might have something to do with the equipment needed and it might just have to be larger and more clunky to attain the battery life needed to be viable.
besides my first phone was a micro tac and compared to it or even a star tac this phone is not too large. it will fit comfortably in...

I suspect Razr will remain GSM only and not be offered by Verizon. I imagine the Verizon Mot relationship is a bit strained with the v710 issues of late.

I do know that verizon is a bit scared that their marketing position of large network and coverage is a bit in jeopardy with merge of ATT/Cingular. So they will have to give customers something... don't know what that something is (cheaper prices, cooler phones, better service)?

If I were betting... I would bet that next verizon bluetooth will be Treo 650. There is no mention of this... but I imagine Sprint has some exclusive period. I bet Verizon announces a version in early February. It will be interesting to see how complete their implementation of Bluetooth will be in Treo 65...

I wonder how Verizon is going to cripple it, if they offer it at all?
