Motorola V710
New V710's and transflash???
so I called *611 last night and got them to send me a "NEW" V710 as opposed to a FRU - just took a little convincing. But my question is - do the new units have any change to the software or is it strickly a camera fix? I have heard (rumors, rumors) that the new software update may disable file transfer from the transflash card. Has anyone with one of the new V710 units tried transfering anything to or from the trasflash? Also are there any other changes to the new units?

I transferred all my photo ID pics and mp3 ringtones right back into my new v710 as soon as I left the VZW kiosk. It still works.

I will have one tomorrow morning and will report back. I am returning my CDM9900 and picking up this phone instead.
While talking to a Best Buy salesman today, he has told me that he is able to transfer pics using the card and can also bluetooth connect with a PC.

Well, here is what might be the start of some new news for the day. I just got back from local Verizon retail stores (3). They all pulled the v710 today after having received the phones back in stock after the recall was resolved. I haven't been able to ascertain what the new issue is, however I was told that they have found yet another defect in the phone and have been told to pull it from at least the retail stores in my area.
They have extended my recent purchase for another 15 days, allowing me to exchange it when the v710 is readily available.
I would imagine we'll have more concrete information once Verizon corporate is open for business on Monday.

I p.u. a new v710 from verizon. The only change was no camera tilt. everything else was the same!!!
