Memory for the phone MMC

This is probably a stupid question, but is SD and MMC the same thing?! or can they both be used by the same reader?

A lot of places I'm looking for memory to buy, they list them in the same list, and seperate from say... XD, and Sony's one.

It's hard to find any MMC memory, at least in Canada, and in the 15 minutes I looked on the web. If it's SD, then lots!

MMC and SD are different, though are exactly the same size and contact configuration. You cannot use SD with this phone.

Yeah, I checked it out, had a friend with an SD card, wouldn't go. Anyhow, it's just real hard to find MMC cards here in Canada. Hrm :S

From what I know, Any device that supports SD will also support MMC, however, devices designed to support MMC will not support SD.

I also live in Canada, and I also had a hard time finding an MMC card. I decided I would settle on eBay and I definatly found the best bang for buck. (95$ shipping included for 1Gb MMC card)

If you're curious just send me an email and I'll point you to the right vendor.
