I don't have this phone, but im thinking of getting it. Is there a way to zoom in/out while in "camera mode" (without going out of camera mode and into options)????

Yes...in the low and medium resolutions, there are 1x and 2x capabilities. It's just a matter of choosing your resolution and scrolling left to right to get your zoom preference...really easy to do!
