Please help, Will buy this...
I am probably going to buy this phone upon switching to Verizon, but I have some questions about it first. If anybody could answer them I would appreciate it.
1.) Do you have to subscribe to Get-It-Now, or does it come with the phone?
2.) Does Get-It-Now use airtime minutes?
3.) Does this phone support Picture ID on the external display?
4.) Do I have to use the extendable antenna?
5.) Can I charge the phone longer than necessary?
6.) Do you think the phone is worth the money?
7.) Are there any big drawbacks that could make someone pass up this phone?

I will do my best to answer these questions.
1) There is now subscription to Get it Now - you just pay for the applications you want to use.
2) Yes and No. GIN uses minutes when you are browsing available apps and when you download them - but most apps do not use airtime when you use them after they are downloaded.
3)Yes it does support picture ID - just remember that for it to work you have to keep the pic saved in your gallery.
4) Usually you would not have to extend the antenna unless you want to - if you start to notice sound cutting out or poor reception or low signal - I would recommend pulling it up.
5) I usually charge my phone overnight - it has a lithium battery so that helps. I know it says charge it for a limit...

thanks for the info...going to buy this phone, but can you tell me a few applications that would use airtime minutes. other than the WAP browser of course

I don't have a lot of examples, but I hope this helps. If you want to download ringtones to your phone you will choose a package of usually 1,3, or more ringtones for a set price. Everytime that you access the ringtone application you can see and listen to available ringtones and that will use airtime. On another phone I downloaded "Wheel of Fortune" and after the puzzles started to repeat themselves I would download a new set of puzzles - and that will use airtime. Just playing the game did not use airtime - but getting new info did. Usually I wait until my free nights & weekends start before I start using my Get it Now - that way you don't have to worry about using up your time looking for some new ringer or something like that.
