3G???

Am I reading this correctly, 3g? Are we talking REV. 0 or just 1xRTT?!

The literature that came with the phone is saying 1xEV-DO release 0. Still 3G but a slower version of it.

The battery cover is stamped with 3G and the network coverage indicator on the phone also reads 3G.

yeah rev 0, so same data speed as the 8330, slower then the Tour

Yes, its 3G,
No its not just 1xRTT

There is EVDO and EVDO RevA
but honestly I have had phones on both
and I never noticed a speed difference.
As long as the phone says EV or 3G in the status bar your good to go.

If you have a dedicated usb data card for a laptop
thats where you might see a slight difference, but on a phone I wouldnt worry about it.
The BB 8530 is a great little phone.
Plus Wi-Fi is always going to be faster than 3G anyway.
