Can someone suggest some apps?

Dec 8, 2009, 2:37 PM
I've had this phone for a week now and I must say I absolutely LOVE it. Ringdroid and taskiller were no brainer downloads. I've tried search thru the market and find it unbearably tedious. Anybody got a few cool apps they would like to suggest.

I like the Dolphin web browser. Haven't put many apps on my Eris. Dolphin, Bank of America app, a couple games.

I love Keyring, which allows you to scan your store rewards cards so you don't have to carry them around. And MyCoupons is pretty neat because it tells you about any free meal deals in your area and specials at grocery stores and restaurants. Jewels is a fun game that's a like Bejeweled. It's so addictive! Spark is a fun mindless game that gives you a little "shock" every time you touch your screen. There a ton of really cool apps out there but you have to dig through a lot of garbage to find them. Good luck!

Yeah I'm finding out there is a LOT of garbage out there. But alot of really cool stuff too. SavvyShopper has come in handy for Christmas. I've played Jewels and Frozen Bubbles is cool too. I'll check out MyCoupons and Keyring would come in handy with my Kroger card(gotta love 10cents off my gas).

Aldiko - Plenty of books available at no charge, some for purchase.

handyCalc - Advanced calculator.

OI File Manager - Useful for browsing your phone memory and MicroSD card memory. Allows you to open and delete files, among other things.

OI Shopping List - Self-explanatory.

Phit Droid, Phit Droid 2nd Edition, Phit Droid 3rd Edition, Phit EXTREME - Addictive puzzle games that'll keep you busy for quite a while.

Shazam - Allows you to identify songs by holding your phone up to a music source.

Slide Puzzle - Creates sliding tile puzzles out of your photos.

Solitaire - C'mon...it's Solitaire!

WikiMobile - Wikipedia app.

Yz Free - Yahtzee, basically.

I am looking for the time/weather app that they show in the pictures of the Eris in the INFO section . I have a Motorola Droid, but i would think that I could use the same app. Does anyone have any info about this app?

It's an HTC widget, and I don't believe that it's available from the Market at all.
