Speed dial for contacts on Droid
Not sure you can set a speed dial number but you CAN set a shortcut on your home screen (or make a folder of them) for direct-dial.

Maybe I should elaborate on HOW to do that...
Long-press the home screen and select shortcuts then select direct-dial and choose the contact and which number you want for the direct-dial...

put them as favorites... then u just open your phonebook and go to the favorites tab... or create the direct dial shorcut on the homescreen
