Erasing Storage Data Question

My storage memory has run out so I keep trying to delete things from my "my storage" and it doesn't seem to increase the available space. I use window's explorer, go to "my storage", delete things that take up a lot of room (MP3s, videos..) but then when I check the system memory I still did not increase the available space on my storage. When I'm deleting these files, is it going to a trash folder that I need to empty out? I was not able to find one, however, nothing seems to be deleting and creating more room.

Also, I'm going to purchase a card this weekend. Any recommendations on what type and brand?

I wonder if there would be an availability change if your Omnia was turned OFF and then back ON.

Yeah, I tried that but it didn't do anything. Odd. I think there must be a way to delete the trash or something like that.

Just a guess, but are these files you're deleting on "my storage"? The folder that is likely full is "storage" or device storage. Storage is only 88MB and My Storage is closer to 8GB.

Wow, what you said was absolutely correct. It was the device storage that was out and giving me the error message and I was deleting things on "my storage".

The error message I was getting called it "your storage" so it was a little confusing. But after checking the systems/memory I realized what you said was right. I was deleting things in My Storage and that is the obvious reason why I wasn't seeing the device storage memory free up.

Thanks for your help.
