BATTERY LIFE

MADONNALOVER

just a question
im deciding whether or not to return this phone for another env2

i fully charged the phone at 11am sunday morning

by 3 pm monday afternoon i was down from 4 bars to three bars (and this with very light to moderate use)

factor in i have my backlight external and internal screens set to 30 seconds and the bluetooth off.

Would you guys think that with all these factors the battery is a dud and i should get another? or should i try it again with the backlight settings at 7 seconds and play it by ear? and advice is appreciated

So...27 hours later you were only down 1 bar? if you do the math, that means your battery would last 108 hour from fully charged to dead, which is 4.5 days, with moderate use. No, I would not say your battery is a dud...i would say that it is perfectly fine, and in fact, is better than many others out in other phones at this time. how long did you expect it to last...? 🙄

well according to some individuals on howard forums
they had 4 bars for 2 days
and 3 bars for 2 more days and so forth and so forth with light to moderate use.

so im thinking if i went down to three bars after one day of LIGHT USE thats not saying to much for my battery life

A few things to be aware of.

First, have you fully charged and FULLY discharged the battery (at least to the low battery warning)3 to 5 times? YES this helps.

1)Are you keeping your phone in your pocket?- Every time you bump a key, you bring up the back light and you have it set on 30 seconds.

2)If you want to really test the battery, fully charge it, wait until free calling time and call a number like your home number or another VZW phone that is plugged in(not on a battery) and leave it on until it disconnects.

You will be able to check the call time and see how long it lasts. On this phone, it seems to have a longer battery life than any other phone.

I have seen in the order of 5 hours of talk time.
Hope this helps.

You'd soon be unhappy with your backlight turning off in seven seconds. Thirty seconds is way too long and battery draining. Fifteen seconds works well for me.

CaptJeff is correct about a few charge/discharge cycles. That's called conditioning the battery.

I find the enV² battery life exceptional. Give yourself a week or so before checking with your local store's tech support guys.

My battery last me about three to four days. and i have my black light setting to 7 seconds and i constantly check it. i send about 5000-6000 text messages a month so i receive about that many too. i use only about 1000-2000 mins a month. so you can kind of get an idea of how much i use it per day. this is by far the best battery i have found. usually my phones die in a day or a day and a half.
