it doesnt seem to be working for me....do i have to download the Java Virtual Machine (JVM)??

Nope. Go to Messaging and highligh "New Email Account". Punch in your email address in the provided field and make sure the "try to get email settings automatically from the internet" box is checked. It will then set itself up. I did read somewhere that if you have an issue you can log into Gmail from your pc and change a setting, but I didn't have to and I'm not sure what the setting was. Hope this helps.

no, I am refering to the gmail application that downloads to your phone. Go into the browser on the Q and type in gmail.com/app

I've had major problems with Gmail. The main one is that once I get email it will delete it after I do a send and recieve. For me, it was unreliable.

Oh wow, I get that too on my Samsung i730. I thought it was just me. I have to delete all my emails just so I can keep them!
