Not great. I got it yesterday and had it charging all night. Woke up today at 9:30 and started exploring the features and whatnot. By the time I got home from lunch at 1pm, the battery was already down to one bar. Granted, I was doing a lot with it, and I've read that the battery has to be fully charged and discharged 3 to 4 times before it reaches its full potential, but that's still a pretty quick loss of power. Hope this helps.

Verizon does offer the extended battery but my standard battery was much better after letting it drain a few times the fully charging it.

For the size this battery is great. Maybe it is just because it is in comparison to my Mogul, but i am a heavy user, and this lasts me 2 days. I haven't had a phone do that since the nineties. Seriously though, my last phone was an m610 and this stomps that phone no question. Initial conditioning is important, moreso than i experienced with other phones, but after that, look forward to not having to plug your phone in at 3pm to make it through the day.

Can you tell me if the Mogul or the v9m is better, im looking to buy one of them today and I cant figure out which one is best. Im really concerned with the call volume, a phone is useless if you cant hear the other person. My treo 700p has a third party application, (volumecare) which make the volume extremely loud, but I dont think they have a application like this for the mogul.

Tough one. Really depends if you need the PDA functionality or not. The V9 is a great phone, but is somewhat limited in its ability to do PDA stuff, i.e. email/web/schedule. It is definitely a top notch phone - i think Moto sound quality is unbeatable - and to be honest, the mogul is not loud enough all the time. Personally I am carrying both, one for talk (V9M) and one for data (Mogul). If I had to choose one, I would probably go with the mogul just because of the pda applications. Just FYI, the Pearl 2 is coming out supposedly November, and would give you the best of both worlds, as Blackberry call quality is phenomonal and has the email and web. Hope this helps. Either is a great phone.

I've owned the Motorazr2 V9m (Verizon) since 9/4/07. In the first few days the battery will drain after basic use. But after about a week of charging on daily basis it improves a lot and is much, much better now.
