New LG Chocolate or wait for new RAZR V9?

I am getting very tired of waiting for the new razr as I am worried that the same thing will happen when it is released as it did with the MAXX. I waited and waited and then once released, the MAXX was not at all what I had expected.

I really just want a phone that will make calls, play ringtones, and play music. Is the chocolate (the new one) a good choice for me? I have only owned one LG (the vx6100) and I liked that but it would drop calls all the time and made a buzzing sound when on a call. SO, I have NEVER had trouble with Motorolas and was hoping to get another.

ANyone that owns a chocolate (or who might have if at all possible gotten hold of a v9) that can help, I'd appreciate it!

I had the RAZR V9 for 10 days. Had to have the 1st one changed out because the keypad by the * was loose and making a clicking noise. Also the battery has to be charge daily.

The phone has some very good cons. Great reception and call quality, good looking, super thin...but not a LG and not worth $469 for full retail.

I return it for the VX8550 and very happy now.
Almost a perfect phone for my needs.
Super clear calls in and out, great screen with large fonts display, very good battery life, lot of loud ringtone. Plus hackable with Bitpim and a cable or BT.

It's my opinion LG makes the best cellphones.
Hope this helps..Scott

I totally agree. I had the Razr for a week and just wasn't thrilled about it. Looked great and great call quality, but it didn't have enough of the features I wanted.

I switched it up for the new Chocolate and have been really happy with it so far. I've had it 3 days now and I'm already getting used to the slider form (my first) and haven't had a problem texting with the small keypad.

The call quality is very good, screen is great, customizable UI, sleek and sexy, it has talking caller ID which I love, and flashing lights around scroll wheel (which you can turn off if you want) are so fun!

Only cons so far are that it is easily prone to scratches so you have to be so careful. I plan to get one of those invisible shields, the cle...
