There is, but to someone that has little to no comuter skills it may not be that easy.

I use a program called Adobe Audition to extract the part of the song that I want to set as a ringtone - and I usually limit this file to 30 seconds as the call will go to voicemail by then.

Once I have extracted the part that I want, I will downsample the sound file to 56kbps to compress the file to where it is aroun 200kb and then copy/paste this vis activesynce to my memory card.

I also bought a program for my phone called SmartTweaker that allows me to store my ringtone to my memory card so as to not use the space on my phone for these ringers. You set 20-30 ringtones and this eats up a lot of yr phone's memory of you store these to your phone...

How do you go about compressing the file? I use the wavepad program to chop songs into ringtone lengths.
