If my phone is broken, and I bought it for $50 at the time, and it's been less than a year since I got it, can I trade it in for a phone of equal value (i.e. this phone)? Do I have to trade it in for the phone that I have?

I believe the general rule is that you get the same phone if it's one that is still offered. Otherwise you get a phone of equal value/features/etc.
