Alright I need help on this one, and please be biased, do not take one side just because you have that phone (preferably people who work w/verizon or have experience with both)

Which is a better cell phone? I will give you my honest take on the Samsung because I just bought it two days ago...

The samsung is the hottest phone out right now, lookwise, in my opinion. I really like that i have it an no one else really does yet. i dont mind the camera, however the env's 2.0 is appealing. i think the speakerphone, texting, different menu layouts, are all great. Heres what I'm really getting down to as my worry and why I may switch to the EnV....
THE DOUBLE HINGE scares the hell out of me! I went back into verizon to try to get...

I am an employee and I have the Env, had it for the last couple of months, and I demoed the Samsung. What I didn't like about the samsung, the directional pad is oddly positioned next to the hinge. When playing games, my thumb was in a awkward position. After a while it hurt a lot, and I don't have that problem with my ENV. The idea is great, the dual hinge, but the buttons are sooo small, and I have small hands.

A few big things I disliked is, on the ENV, the entire screen is utilized and on the Samsung only a portion is. I.E. Mobile web, it only shows a part of the mobile web and you have to scroll down for the other part even though there is plenty of space on the right side. And you can only use certain things in either landscap...

It just takes getting used to but I think overall the samsung has a notch over the Env because of it's size and features. It's a give and take you want a better screen go for the 9900 you want a smaller phone go with the samsung. 😁

I also noticed that the Samsung only used part of the screen to play videos. But, I happened to push the up key on the controller and the screen automatically went to FULL view. I am now a happy camper with respect to what I thought was dumb programming.

Oh yea I forgot to mention that part It works the same way on the 9900 you have to push up on the 4 way togle in front of the 9900 to watch full screen. But I got rid of the 9900 oh well.

Who wants a brick in their pocket all the time? cause thats where it will be. Accesories (belt clips, pouches, etc) for the ENV are garbage. The U740 is cheaper in price...not quality and its sleeker.

I got the 740 because I have had a 9800, i have had the 6700, i wanted something small, but i need a qwerty keyboard. I went to the verizon store and molested a couple of 740's and decided to buy one. it's turned out to be a great phone, the keyboard will take you 2 or 3 days to get used to then you will be texting without looking.

real quick there both great phones, both play mp3s about the same, size the u740 is alot better, and camera wise the lg is a little better, i have had both and stuck with the u740, 9900 is hard to text because the flip goes under, and the 2.0mp camera isnt all that!! so go with the u740
