I have the pearl with T-Mo and I know it should work in the UK and Ireland where I am going next month, but I was wondering if I could get feedback from anyone who has actually used it in Europe, specifically the UK. I am most interested in knowing how the maps/internet will work.

You've gotta make sure you call customer service and have them put them "International Permissions" on your account if you dont already have it. Internet and phone work great there. Im not sure about the Maps part. didnt try it. I would imagine it works though.

I have used it in Italy just a few weeks ago and the phone, email, etc was fine. I am on Cingular. When I did try the "maps" I got my home location. I am sure I did something wrong and will try it again in a few weeks when I head back to EU. Will let you know
