Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133

anyone else have the problem of the phone (6126-cingular) blacking out when you try to send pics or vids?

I recently had the chance to hold one of these Cingular phones. I was impressed by the quality of this device. However, I noticed that when the phone is closed you can still activate the camera and take a picture. This leads me to believe that there will be accidental pictures taken while it is inside your pocket. I am not excited about that. I was wondering what happens if you accidentally press the camera button or power button located on the side of the phone while talking on it. Does it do anything? I am strongly considering this new phone. If you owners out there can give me an answer I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello. I wrote a review on phonescoop about the Nokia 6126 and I love it, but when I was litening to the pre-loaded ringtones that came with the phone, the phone froze. This has only happened once. I love the phone, but if it happens again, I will have to take it back. Does anyone else here have this issue?

Has anyone successfully used the voice dialing on the 6126?

Nothing from "Dial" to "Call" to just saying the name gets me anywhere close to the desired contact.

The manual barely acknowledges voice dial.

Please help?

Ok..So I posted something in another thread about getting Tmobile so I can use it internationally..I now wanna get the 6133 cuz it can be unlocked and taken 2 Greece with me.. 🙂 Can anybody give me some pointers on the phone..I wanna hear a lil more on it other than the user reviews..How do u all feel about this specific phone?

Is the Nokia 6126 branded ATT or Cingular?

I still own my Nokia 6126 and it seems to be working now. I went and performed a master reset on the device and it seems to have cleared up the problems that I was having with the external display turning white and the phone freezing, which it has only done once. My question is this. What exactly does a master reset do in all cell phones to clear up problems, like the ones I was having? Does the master reset prevent any further problems from occuring in the future?

hey, can u listen 2 music through the bluetooth headset on this phone (t-mobile version)?? this will make my decision if i want 2 get this phone.

My N75 has 6 bars. I'm thinking of returning this phone to get the 6126. I don't need symbian/3g. and theres to much static and buzzing on this crap..
My wifes 6102i has max of 4 bars

I posted a message about my Nokia 6126 freezing on me for the first time. Well, the screen turns white and it turned white recently while I turned it back on again after turning it off. The inside display showed up just fine. What would I have to do in order to exchange it? I have Cingular and I'm not a person on the account.

I ask because there were reports of a buzzing sound coming from the ear piece. Was thinking of getting this phone. Thanks

My carrier is Cingular. I like the 6126 but it would be great if I could get the FM capabliity.

Can the 6131 be used on the Cingular network?

I finally ordered the 6126... I'm still not 100% sure it's what I want, but I was told it was an online order only so I wouldn't be able to find it in stores. I guess I'll find out in a few days!

My main concern is about the battery life. I've read your suggestions, and I will definitely use them. I know everybody said to let it completely die, then recharge it. Since it comes mostly charged, should I refrain from charging it until it dies, or should I fill the charge the moment I get it?

Also... the ringtones/music player. How do they sound? My mom's Sync has such clear sound quality -- even my RAZR is pretty good. Because I plan on using this as an occasional music player, I'm curious on the sound quality. I'm not expecting an iPod, ...

Is .m3u standard playlist format for all nokia with a music player? I guess the 6131 will read .m3u?

do any of you 6133 or 6131 people actually have this nokia presenter application on your phones? is there any way to get that onto the cingy 6126?

how do you assign a picture caller id for the external display? I have assigned pictures to contacts but they are not showing up. if this has been asked before Im sorry. I looked through a few pages and couldnt find anything. any help is appreciated.
