Cingular to be offering Audiovox SMT5600 soon?
A salesperson at a Cingular store in Arizona told me that Cingular would soon be offering a Cingular-branded version of the Audiovox SMT5600 (formerly offered by AT&T).
Has anyone else heard this? If so, what is the timeframe for this to happen? Cingular's cust service number was useless on this info.
Of course, I would really be impressed if Cingular offered the i-Mate SP3i instead of the SMT5600 -- it's the same phone from a size/feature perspective, but the i-mate is MUCH sleeker and attractive, plus I don't think it will scuff as easily as the Audiovox ones seem to be doing.
Thanks!

I can confirm this, it looks like they are aiming for an April 1st release date.

Does anyone know whether those of us using an unlocked 5600 on Cingular already will be able to have Cingular allow our phones to use Media.net instead of MMode. I have an old AT&T 5600 which is "unlocked" but Cingulr says it still won't be able to use media.net because AT&T used Mmode so I have to learn how to unlock it the rest of the way.
I love this phone. 🙂
