like those offered on ebay. any problems? must to avoid? stick with OEM?

I was told by a VZ rep that if you used a non VZ battery and there was a problem that your warranty was voided. I bought one from VZ when I got my phone and it works great.

how would they know witch battery you use. if something goes wrong, you could just put the vz battery in and they would never know, right?

I find that the OEM ones are much higher quality anyhow, so I would always pay the extra to get one of those. Aftermarket batteries generally suck

Be very careful with non-OEM batteries. Lithium ion rechargeable batteries are extremely touchy when in comes to recharging issues. That's why you saw recalls of "OEM" batteries sold by VZW that turned out to be fakes. A poorly designed or constructed Li -ion battery can present a real danger of overheating or exploding.

You get what you pay for...
