Cingular Plans $$$
I definately want to buy this phone... but cingular plans are really expensive. $79.99 for unlimited internet access additional to your voice plan. I'll be using my phone as a modem for my laptop. AT&T is cheaper than cingular, and tmobile has unlimited internet for $19.99! Correct me if any info is wrong. I'm not sure what to do. Buy the phone from cingular, wait until ATT has it, or just buy it for $500 from Best Buy and use TMobile with it. Any suggestions?

i don't know who told you that but it's not true. I'm paying 20 bucks a month for unlimited internet on my mpx220.
and on top of that, through a post in modaco's forums, i found out how to connect my phone to my computer through the usb cable and connect to the internet on it for free (only uses my cellphone minutes).

That $79.99 a month you saw for internet access was with a wireless access card, not the Internet express you get directly through your phone.

Yes, it is the rate for using their wireless card... but it says here that it is the rate for using your phone as a modem also.

the 79.99 plan is the data usage plans for pc cards and the treos. you can connect your cell to your laptop like demione said and use the 19.99 plan for that.

ok guys...everyone take a sit, class has begun...19.99 plan is for internet access through the phone...if you access your phone as a modem , it then becomes a wireless card for all intensive purposes and you will be billed as such, the overage rate for this is anywhere from 1-3 cents a kilo byte..and for alittle example of the implications of this ...the weather channel web site www.weather.com is $10.24 every time you load it at 1 cent a kilobyte...the 19.99 is part of wireless media package is for the internet usage through the phone and depending on your phone it can be rather limited, hence why it is significantly cheaper....class dismissed
