Actually, it doesn't, but it can be done. I've posted this twice already and there seem to be many people who have missed it, judging by the number of posts regarding the speakerphone being used with the flip closed. Please read the following and lets bombard them with phonecalls and E-mails and we can get it done.

I posted this the other day. I wrote to Motorola to ask about the speakerphone and using it with the flip closed. This is the response they sent me:

Thank you for contacting Motorola E-mail Support.

Regarding your concern, it is in fact not possible to use the Speakerphone feature with the flip closed in the V710 phone. We apologize for all the inconvenience that this may cause you. Should this feature be modified ...

http://www.howardforums.com » - phonescoop is more of a discussion forum before and while a phone is out. howardforums is where the actual information is as people can post pictures among other things. Look in the Verizon forum and the V710 subforum there under Verizon as well as the Motorola forum.

Whats Verizon's email address that we can send them the request to add this "feature"? It is ONLY a software update which takes a split second!! copy and paste the part of the program from the other V series phones to this one!!

If anyone who works at Verizon can provide this board with the email address to bombard you guys to ask Motorola to include this "feature update", it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Go to the VZW site (vzw.com), then go to "Contact Us", pick a category, pick a topic and sub-topic, and fire away.

Your obviously not in the software business.....

1) Much embedded software is not ported between hardware architectures. And if it is similar code. It's usually a week or two just to design the software into the system and then you have to deal with testing the feature, testing the software entity (OS change?, DSP change?, CP change?, etc.), testing that the system (phone) still works and no runtime, memory fault, mathematical errors were introduced.

2) And the above doesn't take into account managment.......who take 5 times as long as the process described above to decide whether or not to do the feature request.

Not trying to be hostile, just understand that in big companies there are a lot of factors that go into feature reques...
