If your main LCD lens has scratches on it, then you can go to a Authorized Motorola Repair Center and have them put the new lens on that has a harder plastic, therefore not allowing for it to get stratched by the keypad. This is covered under warranty 🙂 , I went to one store in Franklin Square on Long Island and they did it for me on the spot 🙂 and the tech there told me that Motorola issued new lenses out for phones with date codes of ENJ and prior. I dont think Corporate Verizon has this part. Besides, they are retarded over there anyway. 🙂

Wow - I just notified Motorola of this problem. Is it like 6 symmetrical scratches you were seeing?

This problem is very common. It will happen to everybody's phone. My company demoed 10 phones and all 10 were scratched up in 2 weeks. On the one I had, I just but a pda screen protector ont he screen and a larger rubber stopper down by the mic so it does not close all the way.
