New Droid unlock screen

I understand with the new update that the lock screen has changed to a straight across line motion instead of an arch. Do you still have to push the unlock button on top AND do the swipe motion? I'm hoping that is the case because if all you have to do is swipe from left to right to unlock the phone, I will end up with a million pocket dials which I can't afford.

Thank you, I understand that. But do you also have to press a physical unlock button (I think its on top?) before selecting the screen area? Thanks very much.

to turn on the screen? yes. if the screen is in standby you need to tap the power button to turn it on before you unlock it.
