I FTPed the pictures from my old phone to my Rumor, but I can not set them as Picture ID.

I actually had one of these for about 4 days.

I had intended to get it and sell it to someone else (once I had gotten myself a 6800), but I couldn't even do that to my friend.

Reason is, it's a messaging phone. Fine.

The Facebook application is kind of nice, but it's not accompanied by its sister site, MySpace. Actually checking for MySpace using the phone's RTT browser does nothing for the Rumor, either.

When you use AOL Messenger, two things happen when you're not actively using the AIM application. First (and most annoying), every time you get an IM, a text message is sent to your phone. Even if you could turn this option off, it's annoying enough for me to have turned it off in (literally) 9 minutes. Second, the notificat...

Need help with a rumor

I bought two Rumor's yesterday for my wife and I. I told the sprint rep that I need to use mine for work. I travel residentially and need access to Mapquest or a Nav system. Nav isn't neccessary, I can do what I need to do with a map such as mapquest. I also need to get emails and access the internet and view websites. My wife uses texting features a lot, emails a lot, and calls a lot, but doesn't really use the internet other than for email. He suggested the rumor and the everything plan. Now, I'm home working with the phones and reading the phone scoop review and having some difficulty.
1) sucks that I can't use an MP3 as a ring tone, but not a deal breaker.
2) When I go to a website like youtube it says not enough memory. Huh?
3) ...

Just the Facts please...

I know this LG Scoop (Alltel) has been desired by big-time texters. That said, I want to know what kind of PHONE it is. Putting texting and everything else aside just for a moment, honestly, does it get great reception? Does it have good speaker volume, ringtones, voice quality?

If someone does not do alot of texting, is there any reason to get this phone?

Does this phone sync with PC

I've been looking at this phone on the usc website.

Can you sync the calendar on the phone with your PC calendar?

I'm still looking for a Smartphone without buying a data plan!

Thanks for your help!

Where's my video?

I've had this phone for less than a week now with US Cellular and am pretty happy with it. However, I can't seem to receive video messages. I know it's capable of it, but US Cellular doesn't support it. My brother has US Cellular as well, but a different older phone (Motorola). Why can't I get videos? Not even choppy ones... just a single image pops up.

Quick SMS Messaging

Very Happy First off I want to say that I love the new rumor. It's possibly the best phone I have ever owned. But to contradict what was said in the review about the quickest way to send a SMS Text Message. I found that as a factory pre-set on my phone that if I hit the up button the D-pad it sent my straight to my send a message screen and all I had to do was find the person I wanted to send the message too. If that person wasn't one of the last 10-15 people I sent a message too the first option was to go to contacts. Again this is the best phone that I have ever had. And if I had to complain any at all it would be over the sound of the speaker which isn't too loud. Which makes it hard to hear the ringer in loud places. And no flash on the camera. ...

Ok well lets see.
im getting the LG Scoop from Alltel and ive read lots and lots of peoples view about the phone and overall everyone loves it.
But my concerns about the phone is that, people say that the camera sucks or quits working and have to go buy a new phone.
And when you call someone they said that the reception isnt very clear and its hard to hear.
And that the phone keyboard is really flimsy.
But idk i think ill still get it..cause obviously only 2 or 3 people had problems and everyone else hasnt had problems yet.
Well also..lol umm If you downlod a song on your phone for the MP3 can u use one of the songs for a ringer?
well that all i have

Too Slow for Fast Texting?

I am very close to getting the LG Rumor to replace my almost 3 year old Samsung SPH A-800. I have wanted a new phone for awhile, but I don't like flip phones (I text too much) & I'm not interested in a Blackberry as I don't need work to be any more accessible than it is, so I've been hoping a phone like this would come along soon, before my old sliding phone completely died.

Every review I've seen has been pretty good, but I read one official one that concerned me a little. It said the keyboard couldn't keep up with fast texting, and letters would often be missed. Although I'm in my 30's, so not the typical age for text addicts, I've been avidly texting for 9 years, and the teenage kids of my co-workers say they've never seen anyone te...
