Well, my Treo 650 is nearly dead. The new Treos are experiencing way too many issues with Palm pullign ROM updates. Looking at the BB8830 and was hopoing this,phone , the HTC Mogul or the new Q would come out asap so I can get a new phone. Anyone have experience with the BB8830?

I was in the same dilemma. There is no way I can go w/out a smartphone and the system I was using wasn't working anymore. The 8830 is a really nice phone. It's basically a dumbed down Treo is the best way of explaining it. Typing is much better when you get over the small keys. One cool thing is the keys have grooves on them so you down slip or hit the wrong key. Once you get the groove system down you can get out some serious emails. If you are fully bound by your laptop then I would get 8830 over the smartphone. If you are not going to actually work on documents spare yourself and get the 8830. They rarely ever freeze up and require very little maintenance. However, if you don't carry you laptop everywhere and/or do word docs or edits ...

This phone's been available on Telus in Canada for about 2 months now, it works great, has very good talk time and the WM6 is very smooth. I've got a Q, bit hesitant on the Q9 given the specs I've been reading, but have been impressed by the various new HTC devices

you can get this phone from qwest if you are in the 14 state region and you can get a lower price plan with qwest with ulimited text pic and mess, nation wide for way less then verizon

HTC is a well regarded underdog company, that puts out pretty good hardware IMHO.
I would have a hard time deciding now if I want the I760 or this phone, the HTC5800.
Wi-Fi or not its nice.
