ringers as mp3s they do work
just got the phone and emailed a mp3, saved it as a ringtone, and it sets for contacts,ringers,and alerts!!! works like a charm!!

Yeah, mp3's work, but it sounds MUCH better if you change them to midi files. I put an mp3 on mine and it sounded horrible. The sound is clear with the .mid format.

Got the phone and sent a .MP3 to it via email....worked great sounded great. Next song I tired sounded real bad, now when i attach an MP3 to an email my phone shows new pic message but nothing is attached.....any ideas

Odd.... I haven't sent any to my phone recently. But it did work when I first got my phone in March. However, try this out. The file size needs to be less than 300 kb or it won't go through. You can make the file size smaller one of two ways. Either cut the length of the track to 20 seconds, or lower the cd quality. Hope that helps.
