Samsung Unveils New Lineup for Americas

Samsung today announced a slew of new phones for the Americas.

  • SGH-P735: Megapixel camera phone with unique "swing" design. Features 262,000-color display, Java MIDP 2.0, MPEG-4 video recording, and infrared. Available Q3.
  • SGH-D415: Slide-style GSM phone with VGA camera, video recording, large 262,000-color display, and 64-chord polyphonic ringtones. Available Q2.
  • SGH-i505: Palm OS GSM clamshell with twisting display. Features include built-in VGA camera and media player. Available Q3.
  • VM-A680: Small, light CDMA clamshell with VGA camera, video recording, flash, dual color displays, e-mail, and advanced voice recognition. Available Q2.
  • SCH-A790: CDMA/GSM phone with VGA digital camera, flash, dual color displays, and advanced voice recognition. Available Q2.
  • SCH-A690: Samsung's first CDMA Push-To-Talk phone. Features a rugged clamshell design and speakerphone. Available Q2.
  • SCH-A650: Entry-level CDMA clamshell with voice recognition.
At CTIA Wireless in Atlanta, Samsung is also previewing the SGH-E316 and SGH-E317, two similar clamshell GSM camera phones with dual color displays.
