RAZR V1 & V2 Design Question

skywave

Aug 16, 2005, 5:51 PM
I am interested in why Motorola created the 1st generation RAZR only in GSM. I use Verizon and was hoping to be able to use this model on their network. Does anyone know if the RAZR V2 will be CDMA compliant?

Thank you.

if by V1 / V2 you mean version 1 and version 2, and if by version 1 and version 2 you mean the GSM version and the CDMA version, then yes, the CDMA version will be CDMA compliant.

The RAZR is actually called the V3, that is its model number. There is no V1 or V2. There are V265s, V300, V551s, V600s, no V1 or V2.

There will just be a V3 CDMA version out at the end of the year, sporting a 1 megapixel camera, and also an extra millimeter of thickness. When Verizon's V3 comes out, Cingular will be getting the V3x, and the RAZR 2 V3, two new versions of the RAZR.

Cingular: Always a step ahead of the game.

Any idea when to expect the RAZR 2? I think I would consider changing over to Cingular for that phone.

I keep posting this one, but for some reason nobody ever passes the link on. This is the CDMA RAZR or MS500.
