New LG 8100 will not recognize Mp3 songs in Mp3 folder
I just purchased a new LG8100 phone for my son just like the one that I own. I also got him a 256mb mini SD card like that one that I have in my phone so that he can use the Mp3 player feature on the phone.
We inserted the card into the phone, powered it up and then stuck the card into his computer and drug some songs into the MP3 file on his card.
His phone will not recognize the songs, but we can put the card into my phone and it will recognize them and play them. Is there a step that we are forgetting to do to his phone so that they will play?
The only difference that I can see in the phone is that mine is older and it has the older SW T81VZV04 version of software His phone being newer has the SW Version T81VZV07 software.

hit menu 000000, that will put you into manual programming. the very last option is mp3 player, select it and hit enable. hit ok then back out of the programming by hitting the end button. The phone will now recognize the mp3's. now if you want the front controls to work go into the menu and settings and find shortcut key. select that and select play button and select mp3. now the pone will read mp3's and the front controls will open them. have fun
