Hello all...

I'm new to these forums but not to this site. I come here quite often for info and help, but now I've come to a point where I really some opinions here.

I am currently with Cingular... formerly AT&T Wireless and I HAVE to get a new cell phone (as told by Cingular reps for reasons which would lead to a LONG story) cause my current phone isn't compatible with Cingular's network.

The phone I have now is a Samsung E-316.

Anyway...

I have been to Verizon's stores and sites and various others like this and I believe I've found the phone(s) I want. I need help on deciding which to get -- 8100 or 8000 -- and I've looked at all the reviews on each and at first I was going to settle on the 8100 but now I'm stuck between th...

This will be an easy decision for you to make. You will be lucky if you can find an 8000 at any location. We haven't had them for weeks. The 8000 is end of life and is replaced by the 8100.

i would stay away from the 8100 go get the motorola, the LG 8100 is nice and has some cool features, but it lacks one big thing that all the other phones have...you cant set 'sounds' to ringtones. they just stay in the phones sound folder and do nothing, unfortunatly...i returned mine and got a different phone because of this...hope this helps..

I've had all three the 8000, 8100 and E815 out of all of these, I would say the 8000 ranks best although it's quite bulky. The features are easy and fully functional.

The 8100 has been crippled up to the gazoo, even the memory which they say it has is not really there it's only 2megs, plus the ear-piece volume problem WOW! let me not start on that.

The E815 is my current phone (I exchanged it from the 8100) is somewhat functional, if you know how to Hack it and enable it's features. It ranks second out of the three.

In my opinion get the 8000, they still have them around, if not then the E815.
