A940 Camera Quality is HORRIBLE

I'm starting to think that maybe I have a defective phone, and would like to know if anyone else here is experiencing this with their A940.

The phone has a 2 megapixel camera, when I try to take pictures, no matter how still I hold my hand, they are SUPER blurry. I tried turning auto-focus off (according to the FAQ on the samsung site, that is supposed to help), tried putting it on 'sport' mode. Tried turning down the resolution, I tried everything and the pictures all look super hazy and blurry no matter what I do. It seems to me like the phone has an agonizingly slow shutter speed which may be the issue.

Is this happening to anyone else or do I have a defective camera on my phone?

I do not have the phone, but I sell Sprint and my boss got the phone. I was using the camera and it did look blurry. I did notice though, that when I would push the camera button down about half way, it would focus and clear. Then if you continue to push the button down it will capture the image. Maybe that will help you, if not, maybe it is defective.

I wish I could say it was a defective phone. Unfortunately, my wife and I both have the phone, and it takes the worst pictures I've ever seen from any camera phone. Almost all shots are blurry, I read a professional review of the phone that blames this on a very low shutter speed. I'm glad to hear someone else mention this issue. We certainly need to get as many people together on this to make sure that Samsung works on a fix for it. The A940 will allow you to update the firmware through the phone, hopefully it'll be something they can repair without a recall. I would also recommend going to Samsung's site, and writing a formal complaint, I've done it, but haven't heard back yet.
