I recently bought a palmone treo 600 and someone has activated a password on it (children). Now I dont know the password and it asks for password everytime I try to switch it on. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW TO DEACTIVATE THE PASSWORD. IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY TO UNLOCK IT?

There must be some way, but its only a question of getting the right person.

Please help me as soon as possible, as I have great difficulty living without my treo.

Best Regards,

try performing a Hard reset. Use the stylus inside the reset hole and hold until you're giving the the option to press the up arrow.
NOTE: You'll loose all your programs and settings.

If you just use the stylus to press in the reset on the back of the device, you will only soft reset the Treo. To hard reset a Treo you must hold down on the Wireless Mode button (located next to the antenna)....then press in on the reset with the stylus (you must unscrew the tip of the stylus to access the reset tool)...for about 5 seconds- you then should get the prompt to press up and erase all data. You will lose all 3rd party programs, contacts, etc.; it will return the device to the way it was when you first took it out of the box.
