I am looking for information on Verizon in regards to blue tooth. Are there features that are crippled by Verizon? If so what are the features that you can;t use? What about the new software updates?

There are two parts to bluetooth. Peripherials and data transfer. The data transfer portion is called OBEX and that has been disabled on all Verizon Wireless phones. You can only use the "bluetooth" for wireless headsets. Suck huh?!

That is true but w/Sprint they did enable the BTDun on it so you can use it for data.. Sprint rocks!

I'm looking at a 650 and want to go with Verizon, but they charge $45 for unlimited data. Sprint only charges $15. Is there a difference in the services provided by them? If I'm using the treo for email, don't I need unlimited access?

Can I also use the 650 to connect my laptop to the internet?

NO. The only problem is that the plan that you are talking about, gets audited for data usage pretty heavily. Their plans for data ONLY are similar to Verizon's as well.

Audited?? Actually the internet is $10 on Sprint.. the xtra 5 is credit so you can DL from Sprints Site. I pay $10 for unlimited and since they have enabled the BTDUN i can use it with my laptop.

I would like to combine my current Verizon phone and my palm into a single device. I would also line a MP3 player/recorder as well.

Does the treo 650 have an MP3 recorder? If not, is there anything coming out soon?

Thanks.
